Tonight in the Explorers Room: Treasure Isle, Pleasure Dub

Tonight in the Explorers Room, we dig deep into one of our most beloved dub LPs: Pleasure Dub– a charming masterpiece of dubbed-out mid-60s rocksteady singles  from Duke Reid's Treasure Isle label, with music by Tommy McCook & The Supersonics and a superb mix by Reid's nephew, Errol Brown.  In addition to cuts from Pleasure Dub, we'll sample from Brown's two other dub LPs for Treasure Isle, investigate his later dub outings elsewhere, and have a thorough rundown of the outstanding originals by such greats as Phyllis Dillon, The Paragons, and John Holt.
